A little flurry of new members reminded me that I have been sadly neglecting this community.

Recently, the Innocente Seraphim, a gothic-lolita/JBD convention was here in Washington, and my friend marc17 took the following pictures from the fashion show:

I came across this series of images from the runway and fell in love with them. The gowns are classic in lines, the models are impeccable, and it recalls a forgotten elegance and style. Where did the days go where there were events to which we could go and dress like this was the norm?

The Regal Twelve series falls into the visual realm of fantasy yet is a true study of historical female monarchs that ruled their kingdoms.

There are many things to love about this series - the lavish costuming, the lushness of the surroundings, and the care and detail that went into their presentation.

The ones that stand out:

Isabella of Spain

Catherine the Great

Marie Antoinette

Christina of Sweden

Queen Elizabeth

This is a community devoted entirely to the discussion of gothic fashion and style.

Fitting for the first post to be devoted to the paragon of style that is the Viona Art website, because there are few other places where you can find such a collection of fantastically dressed people photographed so beautifully.
